Editorial Policy

Last updated: March 2025

Our editorial north star is simple: give sellers the facts they need to make confident decisions. No spin. No paywalls. No rented credibility. This policy explains how we do the work.

Research principles

  • Primary sources first. We rely on statutes, MLS handbooks, contracts, price sheets, and direct interviews. Blog posts and aggregator charts are treated as leads, not gospel.
  • Dual confirmation. Every factual statement must be backed by at least two independent sources or one primary source plus a signed vendor attestation.
  • Timestamp everything. We note when a policy, fee, or turnaround time was last verified so readers can assess freshness.

AI contribution & human oversight

  • GPT-5 and GPT-5 Realtime draft outlines, brainstorm alternate headlines, and summarize lengthy regulations. Human editors validate every fact before publication.
  • Model prompts, responses, and decision logs are retained in our editorial database. We can replay any AI-assisted edit.
  • Sensitive sections—legal disclaimers, fee tables, compliance charts—are rewritten manually even if AI provided the first draft.

Review and publishing workflow

  1. Pitch & assignment. Editors approve topics based on audience needs and regulatory changes.
  2. Research memorandum. Writers compile primary sources, supporting evidence, and interview notes.
  3. Drafting. Writers and AI tools collaborate on structure and clarity.
  4. Fact check. A separate editor verifies claims, citations, and numbers line by line.
  5. Compliance sweep. Legal reviews any content that references state-specific obligations or financing strategies.
  6. Publication & monitoring. We schedule periodic refresh cycles for high-sensitivity pages (fees, timelines, disclosures).

Scoring methodology guardrails

  • Weightings for vendor scores are published and versioned. Changes require approval from the editorial board.
  • Vendors cannot purchase better placement. Paid partnerships, if they ever occur, will be labeled with the exact compensation structure.
  • Suspicious claims trigger a “trust review”: we pause the score, gather more evidence, and resume only when the fact pattern is clear.

Corrections and transparency

  • Readers can request corrections at editorial@meydomo.com.
  • We investigate every request, respond within two business days, and log the outcome in our change management system.
  • Substantive corrections appear at the top of the article with a datestamped note summarizing the change.

Conflicts of interest

Editorial staff do not hold equity in the vendors we cover. If any future contributor has a conflict (employment, consulting, equity), the conflict must be disclosed in the article or the writer is reassigned.

Product, sales, and editorial teams operate under separate reporting lines. Revenue goals cannot override editorial judgment.

Data protection inside editorial systems

  • Research documents and unpublished drafts live on access-controlled servers. We do not rely on consumer cloud drives for canonical content.
  • AI prompts used during drafting reference anonymized identifiers. Raw client transcripts never leave our private data stores.
  • Every article ties back to a ticket that lists data sources, AI prompts, and human approvals. Audit logs stay in place for seven (7) years.
